Both churches have expository preaching. Expository preaching is a type of preaching that focuses on explaining and applying a specific passage of Scripture, deriving its main points and outline from the text itself. It emphasizes understanding the author's original intent and communicating that meaning to the modern-day listener, through a verse-by-verse explaination of the verses and applications of the verses to everyday life. Expository preaching is different than preaching on a topic. Expository preaching is difficult to find in today's churches.
FLINT RIVER CHAPEL meets together with a potluck dinner, music, and worship in modern surroundings.
NEW HEBRON meets together with no modern conveniences -- it is a traditional service in the way that our ancestors worshipped.
Jeff Yearwood is the pastor of both churches.
